Hello All, Please excuse my overall ignorance. I am new to Victory. My last was a VTX 1800 F3. I just bought an '08 Vegas Jackpot. It's all tricked out with Arlen Ness goodies and it's a sexy beast. What confuses me are the names Vegas and Jackpot and the model known as the Vegas Jackpot like mine. Is it a Vegas or a Jackpot? Could someone help me understand the differences and the distinctions? Thank you. I'm psyched to be part of the Victory community

I am sure you will get more qualified answers from members that actually own them but I think the Jackpot is a premium version of the Vegas. Some differences would be the fat rear tire, Tall narrow front tire and color painted frame.

The jackpot is a discontinued model. The Vegas is still in production. From the looks of your picture with the wide rear wheel, it's looking like a jackpot to me, but others here are more familiar and can give you a more definitive answer. Welcome.

VegasJackpot6411 welcome to the VOG a great place to expand your knowledge of your GREAT new bike.

The Vegas and Jackpot are the same bike from the tank forward. Everything from the seat back is different including the exhaust. The Vegas's frame matched the motors color black or silver depending on the year until this year. The Jackpot frame matches the tins. They are both great bikes and handle fairly well for a skinny front tire bike. The Jackpot requires a little bit more effort to get through the twisties and that fat rear tire will tear the tread off of the front tire at a rate of about 2-1 with spirited riding of the twisties.

Be safe and enjoy the ride.

I believe it is "Vegas Jackpot" as kind of an ultimate evolution of the standard Vegas like the Vegas Low and Vegas Premium or Vegas 8ball...
Don't matter what though its still a sexy beast!!

    Welcome!

It is both a Vegas (model), and Jackpot (version).

I would just say you ride a Jackpot if I was asked. I don't say I ride a victory cross country magnum, lol. When someone ask I say I own a victory magnum. Maybe I'm just lazy .

Nice looking ride - And welcome
  12. Sweet bike and Welcome to the VOG. I appreciate your question as for some reason I was pondering that the other day. The answers here are what I thought the differences were so I guess I have been learning over the last few months. I own a Vegas 8ball and love my bike. I am going through withdrawals right now from not being able to ride but I will live.

What size rear tire is that? Regular vegas has a 180 the jackpot has a 240.

The rear sneaker is a 250 mm. I was told by a salesman at a local Victory dealer that i should consider putting a Metzler 260mm on it. He said the tire performs better since it has a little more rounding or concave shape to the tread area allowing it to handle better than the Dunlop 250.

Nice JP! The OEM Dunlops are crap. For improved performance, I went w/a 240 Pirelli Night Dragon and like the handling characteristics both in the twistys and improved wet weather traction. The 260 Metz is another excellent choice.
