2015 Concept Camaro
The Gen Six Camaro takes center stage this year at the SEMA Show. Thanks to a combination of heritage and futuristic design, this all-new pony is the perfect star for the Las Vegas scene. In total, Chevrolet brought no less than 20 projects to the event, including several trucks and four Camaro-based concepts (plus the new COPO).
These "concepts" are just cars that have been fitted with parts from the Chevrolet Accessories catalog or will become special edition models in about a year. However, that's not to say we shouldn't pay any attention to them.
The king of the hill is the Camaro Performance Concept, an SS model finished in Summit White and featuring red accents, billet-cut 20-inch forged lightweight aluminum wheels, lowered suspension and performance upgrades for the V8 engine.
Inside, the Camaro Performance Concept is trimmed in Jet Black leather and features a Red Hot door accent trim, Chevrolet Performance-logo console armrest cover and floor mats and pedal covers. It also features knee pads with black suede.
We follow the yin and yang theory and present to you the SEMA Camaro Black Concept next. You already know what color it is, but you haven't seen the custom red LED lights, fresh bumper designs and the brake upgrade.
Things get weird with the Camaro Krypton. While it's named after Superman's home planet and that weird green rock that drains his strength, the concept is more concerned with promoting the Chevy brand. Over an eye-catching green paintjob, we get a barrage of little bowtie emblems. Some of the body bits are black, and they also played with things like the exhaust and headlight graphics. Painted exhaust tips finish off the outer worldly appearance of the heroic Camaro.
Finally, we have the Camaro Hyper, which grabs the attention of every Camaro guy who's going to buy the LT trim and its 3.6-liter V6 engine. Despite lacking V8 grunt, this car pretends to be the ultimate road warrior by using a combination of Hyper Blue Metallic paint with white stripes and chromed on 20-inch wheels. The added exhaust trim looks totally fake, but an illuminated emblem is something many owners will find interesting.
